🟢 Types of Storage

Computers have 2 main types of storage:

1️⃣ Primary Storage (Main Memory)

• Temporary memory

• Very fast

• Data is lost when power is OFF

Examples:

• RAM (Random Access Memory)

• ROM (Read Only Memory)

2️⃣ Secondary Storage (Secondary Memory)

• Permanent storage

• Data is saved even after power OFF

• Slower than RAM

Examples:

• Hard Disk (HDD)

• SSD (Solid State Drive)

• Pen Drive

• External Hard Disk
